The Headteacher of Thorpedene Primary School and Nursery and the CEO of Southend East Community Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor to join our Inclusion Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children across the school with behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health needs under the direction of the Inclusion Lead/Pastoral and Welfare Lead.
The postholder will support pupils and families in helping to remove barriers to learning both within the school and with outside agencies where appropriate.
The successful applicant must be highly dependable, empathetic, and have a professional outlook. There is a need to have excellent behaviour management abilities, to remain calm in difficult situations, as well as to be diplomatic, relatable, personable and compassionate.

Thorpedene is a very successful Primary School and a member of the SECAT Academy Trust. It is a large school educating and caring for approx. 500 children and 90 employees.
