Position: Co-Educator (SEN Teaching Assistant)
Salary: Scale 4 (Points 6-7
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 3.00pm, with 45 minute unpaid lunch break (26.25 hours per week) - TERM TIME ONLY PLUS NON PUPIL DAYS
Looking for staff to cover on casual basis zero hours or one fixed day each week 2, 3, 4 and 5 day week contacts available
Start date: ASAP
Experience of sensory learning and a therapeutic approach to beahviours and learning an advantage but training will be given
With pupil numbers increasing and due to internal promotion,we are once again looking to recruit skilful, hardworking and caring people to join our friendly school family.
A willingness to work with all ages across our school is essential and experience of working with children or with special needs would be an advantage.
Lexden Springs is an inspiring school where no two days are ever the same (but a smile is always guaranteed!) which caters for pupils aged 3 - 19 who have a variety of severe learning difficulties, including some with autism and/or challenging behaviour and some with serious medical conditions.
We pride ourselves in having high quality and enthusiastic staff that encourage our pupils to achieve their fullest potential academically, socially, emotionally, physically, morally, spiritually and aesthetically, enabling each pupil to grow in confidence, and able to participate in the wider community. We actively encourage personal development and this position is ideal for candidates who may wish to consider a teacher training qualification in the future (subject to the required qualifications).
