Post: One to One Teaching Assistant
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:30 to 15:00 with 30 minutes lunch)
Term Time including inset days (39 weeks per year)
Contract: This position is split into two due to funding streams. 15 hours (8:30 to 11:30) will be fixed term - linked to EHCP funding, for a child who is expected to leave Rolph at the end of the summer term in 2031. The remaining 15 hours (11:30 to 15:00 with 30 minutes lunch) will be fixed term for one year to support children with IPRA funding, this position will end on the 31st August 2025.
Salary: Scale 3, Point 5 £16,335.18 per annum (£23,500 pro-rata)
Start date: 4th November 2024
Location: Rolph Church of England Primary School and Nursery
An opportunity has arisen at Rolph School for a One to One SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team to support a child with an Educational Health Care Plan and a small group of children with IPRA funding. All of the children joined the reception class in September 2024.
It would be beneficial to have an understanding of Autism and associated sensory and communication needs. The role includes support for toileting and self-care needs.

The successful candidate must:
· Hold an NVQ level 2 in learning support
· Have experience and enjoy working on a 1 to 1 basis with children
· Communicate well with members of staff and pupils
· Work well as part of a team
· Display a professional attitude
· Be able to use their own initiative
· Remain calm under pressure
· Have a sense of humor
· Be committed to supporting the values and ethos of our Church school
