Learning Support Assistant
Hours: 31.6 hours/ week (08.30 -15.20) Monday to Friday Fixed Term (There may be a possibility of part time)
Scale 4 Point 7
Term time only + 1 week
Start date: As soon as possible for suitable candidate
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Assistant. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate individual, who is caring, enthusiastic and has high expectations to support children with and without with SEND to achieve their full potential.
You should:
- stay calm under pressure and have the ability to use your own initiative when dealing with challenging situations
- be able to work with small groups and 1-1 with children with special educational needs
- put the children at the core of everything you do
- have enthusiasm, resilience and a good sense of humour
- have strategies which work in dealing with children with special needs
- experience of working with children SEND is preferred but not essential as training is available
