EYFS Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

Alresford Primary is a one form, friendly village school, with supportive and driven staff. Our children are inquisitive, polite and eager to learn.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated EYFS learning support assistant to join our team (1 yr fixed term Maternity contract). The position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:30am 3:15pm (lunch 12 - 1), this is not negotiable. Whilst this is a maternity contract there is the potential for this to be a permanent post in the future.

The successful applicant will have:

.Experience of the EYFS curriculum

·Experience or interest in supporting pupils with a range of needs e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties.

·Flexible and adaptable with timetabling and the daily routines

·Excellent communication skills

·Strong behaviour management skills

.Have a calm, nuturing approach, but with clear expectations and boundaires

.Work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher andDeputy Head/SENCO

.Adapt questioning and instructions to the needs of individual children

.Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy
