WANTED

LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS FOR AUTISM PROVISION (THE LODGE)

Exceptional Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) needed

Band 3: Scale point 5-6 (term time only)

We are very excited to be opening a new autism support centre (ASC) as part of our school. We have a number of vacancies available for varying hours, for the right people.

At Great Easton Church of England (VA) Primary School we are totally committed to inclusion and changing children's life chances by striving for excellence in everything that we do. We ensure that children's wellbeing is at the heart of the school and our OFSTED in March 2024 has confirmed that we are doing an excellent job!

Would you like to become part of our school family?

Our incredible children make our school a very happy place to be. We have amazing and supportive families and friends, a brilliant and hard-working PTA and appreciative governors who understand the hard-work and dedication that is required to create an extra-special school. We are constantly striving to deliver best practice in all aspects of school life.

Successful candidates will have: · A variety of onesies (for sleepovers) · A selection of Christmas hats (as this is one of our favourite times of year) ·Active wear (children and staff are encouraged to look after their health and well-being and we like to get as much fresh air as possible) · Wellies (we are set in the heart of the countryside and enjoy outdoor learning).

We are incredibly proud of our school for so many reasons: our lovely parents are bonkers enough to come dressed as Batman when their child gets full marks in a spelling test; our chickens were included in our whole school photo and we have a canine support team (school dogs!) who put smiles on all our faces; for Valentine's each year, we treat the parents to a child free night by offering a whole school sleepover - it is amazing fun; and we a camping weekend every summer with a campfire, fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast and lots of laughter and chatter.

We are looking for exceptional LSAs to provide support for autistic children across the year groups, sometime in the classroom as well as part of 'The Lodge'. This is a very new project and the chance to be part of a really exciting team!

Ideally the applicants will have experience of working with children with SEND. The applicants must be kind, resourceful and patient and happy to support children in the classroom and during break times.

Although initially for maternity cover, there is a possibility of additional vacancies which could mean we would be able to offer a more permanent position, should you like working with us!

Additional qualities:

· Is able to provide high quality support for learning to a variety of children in a group setting

. Can work effectively with a range of colleagues and enjoys being part of a team

· Can provide calm and consistent support for children

· Is committed to inclusion and can work flexibly

We can offer you:

· A welcoming, friendly and supportive staff

· Exceptional levels of teamwork

· Good opportunities for on-going professional development

A rewarding job you will love!
