Hours: Either Part-Time (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am-3:15pm) or Full-time (8:30am-3:15pm)
Salary: Scale 3 point 5 (FTE £24790)
Job Purpose: To work in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures and to provide support to pupils with additional needs.

We are looking to appoint a skilled SEND Learning Support Assistant to support children with special educational needs. You will help children and young people who need support both within the classroom and in a more personalised environment. The ideal candidate for the role will have experience in supporting SEND children and being able to interpret a curriculum to support a child's needs, whilst demonstrating patience, adaptability and empathy. The successful candidate must have a minimum qualification of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.
You would need to be a calm, flexible team player who is able to work on their own initiative.

The contract is fixed-term to assist with the care of a specific SEND child for the duration of funds allocated specifically for this purpose. In the event of the allocation of funds ceasing or the child leaving the school, your appointment will cease with statutory notice.
