Job Title:Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Responsible to:Senior Leadership Team and Class Teachers
Salary Grade Range: NJC Scale 5 Points 9-12 (actual salary for the below hours £20,482.52 to £21,492.34)
Weekly working hours: 33.25 hours per week
Daily working hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm (6.5 hours) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 8.30am - 4.15pm (7.25 hours) on Wednesday (to attend staff briefing) (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break every day)
Weeks Worked: Term time only including school inset days (45 weeks paid)
We invite applications from enthusiastic, inspiring, and suitably qualified teaching assistants to join St Joseph's Catholic Primary School on a fixed term basis (permanent contract also considered).
We would like someone who:
· has successful experience working with children in a school and early years environment;
· is educated to HLTA standards;
· has the ability and knowledge to assist in delivering and meeting teaching and learning objectives;
· is well organised and has good organisational and ICT skills;
· has the ability to motivate, encourage and inspire pupils;
· is friendly, flexible, professional and resilient with the ability to remain calm under pressure;
· has the ability to establish rapport and respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families and carers and other adults.
