The Governors and Headteacher of Trinity Road Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated and innovative Inclusion Lead who will share our vision and commitment to meeting the needs of all our learners.

We are looking for someone with the National SENDCo qualification,or who has relevant SEND experience and is willing to complete the NPQ for SENCOs over the next two years.

Trinity Road is a two-form entry school located in Chelmsford city centre. We have a 20-place enhanced provision for Speech and Language which is part of the Local Offer. The successful candidate will lead on this, working alongside on-site Speech Therapists and developing the provision in line with the expansion of the school.

· An excellent leader who understands how to impact across our organisation and lead a team

· An outstanding teacher and practitioner with a proven record of accomplishment of raising attainment and life chances for all pupils across EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), KS1 and KS2

· Has achieved the National SENDCo qualification, is currently undertaking this or willing to complete this

· Has an in-depth knowledge of SEND and has a proven track record of applying this, securing the best provision, resources, and strategies for SEND

· Lead an inclusive approach that upholds the ethos and reputation of the school

· Has a passion for raising standards and attainment

· Has a commitment for improving and developing their own practice and that of others

· Is an excellent role model for staff and children

· Has high expectations of all the children and themselves

· Works collaboratively as part of the team and has excellent communication skills

· Has an investment in supporting families and as proven track record of being able to build positive relationships with them

· Has effective time management strategies and is organised and systematic in their approaches

· Has a secure understanding of safeguarding, policy and practice

· Will get fully involved in every aspect of school life

You will lead SEND strategically across the school, be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and the coordination of specific provision and resources, including a skilled team, to support SEND learners in the classroom and those who need additional support beyond. You will be responsible for ensuing legal and statutory requirements are met for children with SEND. You will ensure that highly effective SEND practices are implemented and undertaken, including linking with key services across Essex.

This is a full time post with the possibility of 4 days per week if preferred. Immediate start is available, can be flexible for the right candidate.
