Information about the School
Plumberow Primary Academy is a very large 3 form school with approximately 650 pupils on roll. We have facilities that we are proud of, including two halls, a spacious ICT suite, a large field, a designated cooking room, a well maintained library and an outdoor swimming pool. Teaching areas are both safe and well maintained, providing a stimulating working environment for the pupils.
We aim to provide a happy, safe, and caring community, where everyone is encouraged and supported to achieve their goals.
The teachers and support staff form a very strong team and work closely with the Governing Body and Lift Schools to promote high standards throughout Plumberow. Parental involvement is largely encouraged through a well established induction policy for new entrants and an open door policy. A large number of parents provide invaluable voluntary support in classes throughout the school and there is a well established PTA, which provides a programme of fundraising activities throughout the year.
The school teaches a broad and balanced curriculum which is enriched by a wide range of extra curricular activities. There is a very strong emphasis on sport and music within the school and school teams compete very successfully in a wide range of inter-school sports activities.
