Part-time Caretaker for school site - January Start

Hours: - 15 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Daily 7am - 10am
Contract type: - Part-time, term-time only contract - 39 weeks. (Some additional hours in school closure periods when required). Please note that holiday leave is to be taken during school closure periods.
Salary: - Scale 3 (point 5 to 6) £24,790 - £25,183
Actual salary:-£8,881.14 - £9,018.03 (15 hours pro rata for 39 weeks).
Noak Bridge Primary School are seeking a part-time Caretaker for our friendly school that has its children at its heart. The successful applicant will keep our school buildings and grounds safe, smart, compliant and fit for providing a high-quality education for our pupils.
Examples of duties will include:
Opening of school site
Key holding
Liaising with contractors
Carrying out routine tests to meet legal compliance i.e. testing of water temperatures, fire extinguishers, playground equipment etc
Minor repairs to equipment and buildings
Preparing the school premises and site for school activities
Replenishing stock
Manual handling of deliveries, checking them off and reporting any shortfall
Decorating
Litter picking/Emptying of bins
Cleaning outside and inside windows
Clearing gutters/roofs of leaves etc
Keeping the outside area tidy including sweeping and minor gardening
