Role: PE Technician
Start: January/February 2025
Salary: Scale 3 points 5 to 6 (Actual salary £8615 - £8731) Depending on years' service.
Hours: 15 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days). Days and Hours are flexible and will be discussed at interview.
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated PE Technician to join our PE Team. You should be approachable, proactive and a team player.
What you'll need to succeed:
Excellent communication
A positive 'can-do' attitude and a great sense of humour!
Good organisational skills
Some of the Duties involved:
Maintaining spare kit in both Boys and Girls PE departments, i.e. regular washing/laundering of spare kit stores
Maintain and provide running repairs to equipment used in lessons, i.e. pumping up footballs, replacing shuttlecocks, restringing tennis racket grips etc
Administrative tasks, i.e. photocopying of resources, exam papers etc
Performing call-outs and safeguarding interventions on behalf of teaching staff, i.e. locating missing students, removing students to correct faculty removal room etc
Acting as staff on duty for faculty removal room

Information about the School
The Boswells School is a large 11-18 secondary school that serves the area of north Chelmsford. The school is an extremely popular, over-subscribed convertor academy that enjoys an excellent reputation in the local and wider community.
