37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Chelmsford Learning Partnership are seeking to appoint a highly organised and self-motivated individual, with the enthusiasm and drive to help deliver strong and effective governance practices. This is a new role within our structure and will be an integral part of our friendly and dynamic team.

We are a forward-thinking trust committed to providing exceptional education and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for our students and staff. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a talented individual to lead our governance and compliance functions and ensure we maintain the highest standards of accountability and transparency. 

The successful candidate will be efficient, an excellent communicator and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. The role require excellent attention to detail, high standards of communication with a strong administrative foundation and will play a crucial role in supporting the trust's board and executive team. The responsibilities include:

Governance Leadership: Providing expert advice and guidance on all governance matters, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. 
Board Support: Coordinating and managing board meetings, preparing agendas and ensuring accurate minutes are recorded. 
Policy Development: Leading the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures. 
Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong relationships with trustees, school leaders, and external stakeholders. 
Training and Development: Organising and delivering training sessions for trustees and staff on governance best practices. 
Risk Management:To ensure the education of the Trust Executive Team on all relevant changes in guidance and legislation in relation to the risk and compliance within a MAT and ownership of the Risk Management Framework
Compliance:Supporting trust-wide accountability and quality assurance procedures to enable compliance in a range of areas including health and safety, recruitment and data protection (GDPR)
Key Requirements: 

Proven experience in a governance role, preferably within the education sector. 
Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks. 
Excellent organisational and communication skills. 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
Commitment to the trust's values and mission.

Information about the School

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership (CLP) is an emerging multi-academy trust based in Springfield, Chelmsford. The trust was formerly known as The Boswells Academy Trust but changed name in late 2017 to reflect the growth of the trust beyond one school. There are currently 8 schools across Essex in the CLP multi academy trust.

The schools in the CLP are: Barnes Farm Infant School, Barnes Farm Junior School, Lakelands Primary School, Perryfields Infant School, Roding Valley High School, The Beaulieu Park School, The Boswells School and The Tyrrells Primary School.
