About our D&T department
We are looking to recruit a teacher of D&T to come and join our well established, growing D&T department and help us continue to inspire our students to achieve their best and beyond. Our latest set of GCSE results have been fantastic, and we are looking for someone to join the team and contribute to our development and success in the future. The role may also include a small amount of Food Technology teaching.
We excel at:

- Having small class sizes. Our class sizes range from 6-18 students which allows our students more access to support during lesson time
- Having brand new professional Hospitality and catering facilities installed summer 2022
- Being supported by hardworking, passionate D&T and Food technicians who support the team by ordering and preparing materials/ingredients, also supporting learners during practical lessons
- Being a well-supported and valued subject within the school curriculum
We offer our students a wide variety of projects using a multitude of materials and techniques. We look forward to hearing from candidates who have specialisms that can broaden our curriculum offering so that we can reach the widest possible range of students who want to design and make, both now and in the future.
We are also run both Scalextric 4 Schools club and Greenpower club. Candidates who wish to support these or to offer other exciting extra-curricular STEM activities would be welcome.
