To commence after Easter

Larkrise Primary School is part of The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and capable SENDCo who will have a positive impact on the children that they work with. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. You will be joining a team of hard working, friendly and adaptable staff working under the direction of the Deputy Head.

We are looking to appoint a new enthusiastic SENDCostarting after Easter 2025.

This postis a 3 day contract and would suit an experienced SENDCo or someone looking for a new challenge with an interest in SEND.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

· an understanding of the new Code of Practice

· effective teaching and positive outcomes for all children including SEND

· support for SEND children in your class and year group with evidence of positive outcomes

· planning effective interventions with a clear impact

· a strong understanding of what inclusion looks like in a primary school

· working with parents for the best outcomes for their children

· an understanding of how children learn

· being organised and meeting deadlines

· strong communication skills both verbally and written

· an ability to lead and support staff working with children with SEND

Suitable candidates will need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to liaise with other members of staff. The successful applicant will be organised with good communication skills, able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility, and understand the professional nature of the role. National SENDCO Accreditation is required or must be in progress.
