Pastoral Support Administrator
Fixed Term Contract until 31/08/2026
Salary - Essex Scale 5 Point 9-12
£20,863.11 - £21,891.69 plus £557.74 fringe allowance per annum

32 hours 30 minutes per week - Term Time + Inset days + 2 additional weeks
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (30-minute unpaid break)

Start date: March 2025
A new opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Support Administrator to join our successful team at Brentwood County High School (BCHS). This role will involve monitoring and recording behavioural data, as well as informing Heads of Year, the Inclusion Team, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of detention attendees and absentees. Additionally, you will support the running of the Positive Reflection Room when required, ensuring a calm environment for students to reflect on their behaviour.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for child protection and safeguarding. Responsibilities will include maintaining a log of behaviour reports, identifying where targets are not being met, and liaising with parents regarding student behaviour.
As part of this role, you will be required to undergo Level 3 Safeguarding Training, which will be provided by the school. Keeping up to date with developments in safeguarding and child protection, in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines, will be essential.
