Job Title: School Improvement Lead
Required: September 2025
Locations: Witham & Colchester
Contract Type: Part-Time (3 days per week), 60% - Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (L17 - L23 - Pro Rata)

We believe in continuous improvement and are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a School Improvement Lead.
The Role:
As a School Improvement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the educational outcomes and overall performance of our schools. You will work closely with school leaders, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement strategies that enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and execution of school improvement plans across the MAT.
- Providing expert guidance and support to school leaders in raising educational standards.
- Analysing data to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
- Delivering professional development and training to staff.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership teams to set ambitious goals and priorities for school improvement.
- Conduct regular reviews of school performance, providing actionable feedback.
- Facilitate the sharing of best practices and innovative teaching methods across the MAT.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of improvement initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders, including parents, governors, and the wider community, to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Lead professional development opportunities at all levels
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven, outstanding track record in school improvement and educational leadership.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for educational excellence.
- The ability to inspire and motivate others, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- A detailed and forensic understanding of the Primary Curriculum, including EYFS.
- Exceptional understanding how to meet the needs of all children, including those with SEND.

- Regular travel between schools within the Trust is required.

- As part of the Inspires Multi-Academy Trust, you may be required to work or attend at any of the other schools in the trust as needs arise.
