Are you passionate about student engagement and fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning environment?

We are seeking a Student Engagement Officer to coordinate and deliver an impactful programme of student activities, Learner Voice initiatives, and enrichment opportunities across both campuses. This role will play a key part in gathering student feedback, supporting their development, and ensuring a high-quality student experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Organise elections for Student Governors, Student Champions, and Student Representatives.
  • Coordinate Student Conferences and Principal's Question Time events.
  • Track and monitor student engagement in Learner Voice initiatives, reporting key insights to College managers.
  • Liaise with external organisations to exchange best practices and attend networking events.
  • Develop and deliver an inclusive and diverse enrichment programme.
  • Establish targeted enrichment initiatives in collaboration with Behaviour Officers and the Well-being team.
  • Work closely with curriculum teams to enhance enrichment opportunities across the College.
  • Organise and promote enrichment-related trips and visits.
  • Plan and promote activities aligned with global and national awareness days to enhance student engagement.
  • Promote the welfare, safety, and wellbeing of students through College safeguarding policies.

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • High standard of education.
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification (or working towards), such as IAG, Youth Work, or Customer Service.
  • Understanding of the needs of students across different academic levels and age groups.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably within an educational setting..
  • Ability to provide accurate information and handle sensitive matters with confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Computer-related qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a student engagement or similar role.
  • Knowledge of educational enrichment programmes and Learner Voice activities.
