Food Technician
Start date: To be discussed at interview ( April/May 2025)
Local Government Pay Scale Level 4 range points 6-7 (£25,183 - £25,584fte) (£21,782 - £22,129 actual pro-rated)
Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.30. Friday 08.00 to 16.00.
37 hours a week. Term Time plus 1 week.
We are looking to appoint a new Food Technicianto join our friendly and professional Design & Technology / Food Preparation and Nutrition department to help ensure a safe and inspiring environment for pupils to learn in.
The role requires the Food Technician to support and assist teachers during practical lessons therefore this person should and enjoy working in an educational setting and engaging positively with young people to support their learning.
The Food Technician will need to provide administrative support, keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean, safe, and hygienic, manage stock levels of ingredients and equipment, order and replenish supplies as necessary and monitor health and safety standards in all practical areas.
Experience in a similar role and experience of working in a school environment if preferred (desirable but not essential)
