Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

Westlands Community Primary School is appointing a Catering Assistant to start as soon as possible.

15 hours a week term time only.

£8,126.57 basic pay pro rata

Fixed term position until 18th July 2025.

Reporting to our catering manager, the role will be to provide a professional service as part of our hard-working catering team.

This will include food preparation, serving food and cleaning.

You will be expected to maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations, as directed by the Catering Manager.

Previous experience in the catering sector would be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided.

The role involves some lifting and working in a busy kitchen can be physically demanding, using the industrial dishwasher and washing up.
