As the new Orsett Heath Academy continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Teacher of Girls' PE. We are seeking a talented Teacher of Girls PE who is committed and highly motivated to help pupils achieve what they are capable of. You will have strong interest in the support of pupils and be committed to excellence as a classroom teacher. You will be expected to develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to pupils. ECT applications welcome.
As we are a growing school, it is likely that the successful candidate will commit to teaching a second subject until PE has grown further.
Why Orsett Heath Academy?
Orsett Heath is a relatively new thriving mixed 11-16 comprehensive school. As a new school, we opened our doors to welcome our first pupils in 2020. Since then, the school has proved popular with parents and pupils, and we are oversubscribed in all four current year groups. We have created a successful school that pupils and staff are incredibly proud of.
In the summer of 2024, we moved into our new £37m school building adjacent to our previous purpose-built accommodation. When full, the new building will have 1200 pupils and be amongst the largest in Thurrock. We are looking for highly motivated, talented and ambitious staff who share our inclusive ethos and who want to help us grow over the coming years.
Our pupils have a 'can-do' attitude, and the school has focused heavily on character education alongside its academic offer since the school first opened.
You will be:
· have excellent subject knowledge and will be able to foster enthusiasm and enjoyment of the subject with a clear focus on student achievement.
· be determined to achieve the highest standards for the students that they teach and will be keen to be part of a new and growing school.
· be a person with the ability to support individual pupils, groups or whole classes to help them make excellent progress
· Committed to the Trust's vision and values
· Inspirational and innovative
· Able to plan and think strategically
· An excellent communicator.
