This is an exciting opportunity to join Holly Trees Primary School as anAfter School Club Assistant.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly wraparound care team, ensuring that our popular After School Club is safe, healthy and enjoyable for our pupils. Your contract will be for 17.5 hours per week from 3 pm to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday term time only 43.6 weeks per year. Salary will be LGPS Pay Scale 3 Points 5-6 £24790 - £25183 FTE plus fringe allowance of £706 FTE.

We regularly have over 60 of our pupils attending our After School Club each day and pride ourselves on the quality of our provision and the flexibility that we offer to working parents.
We are looking for someone who has good communication skills and is flexible in their approach when supporting children and working alongside other colleagues. We know it is important to be positive, inspirational and a real team player.
Key responsibilities for this post include:
To work in partnership with parents and carers and other school staff, and to promote the wellbeing of the children.
To develop and maintain high standards throughout to ensure the safety and welfare of the children at all times.
To ensure children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development giving consideration to families' ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, ensuring that the school's Equal Opportunities Policy is adhered to.
To maintain the provision to an agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene, before, during and at the end of each session.
To supervise the safe escorting of children to ensure their wellbeing at all times.
To provide a stimulating environment for the children and implement policies and procedures within the provision.
To deal with any immediate problems or emergencies arising according to the school's policies and procedures.
To report back to the appropriate member of staff using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the provision, or any other issues that may be relevant.
To promote and reinforce school policies, practices and procedures, including an understanding of child protection and health and safety responsibilities.
The post holder will be expected to act as an adult role model and support school policies when dealing with pupils, parents, carers, visitors and all members of the school community.
