Job Details
To support the Examinations Officer in the efficient administration of the work of the Examinations Office, covering all aspects of the examinations process and related enquiries, and to assist in ensuring that all College examinations run smoothly in an organised and effective manner

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection, processing, and submission of examination entries and amendments to awarding bodies.
  • Support the processing of examination timetables on the College database.
  • Ensure the availability of the correct stationery and other resources for each examination session.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance during examination sessions.
  • Assist in checking off and despatching examination scripts to examiners.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of student achievement in the College database.
  • Assist with the collation and despatch of examination results and certificates.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Examinations Office.
  • Work closely with the CPD team to ensure invigilators are fully trained and liaise with invigilators for timetable bookings.
  • Process access arrangements for exams in collaboration with the Learning Plus team.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required in line with the role.

The right candidate will have:


Essential:

  • High standard of education.
  • Proficiency in computer software, especially database and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

  • Computer-related qualifications.
  • Experience working in a business or educational setting.
  • Knowledge or understanding of examination administration procedures.
  • Understanding of the needs of post-16 students.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with excellent personal organisation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a busy working environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
