Behaviour Mentor -The Atrium - an SEMH Enhanced Provision
Hours: 24 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (8.30am - 3.00pm with a 30 minute break)
39 weeks per year (which includes five INSET days). You will be paid for 44.65 weeks per year
Band: 2 - 3 depending on experience
Band 2 non-thrive trained and limited experience with pupils with SEMH needs
Band 3 Thrive trained or experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
Salary: from £24,733 to £27,975 full time equivalent including fringe allowance (pro-rata). Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.
Actual salary range from £13,738.42 to £15,539.25 per annum depending on skills and experience

Join Our Team: Behaviour Mentor Role Are you energetic, patient, and empathetic? We're on the lookout for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our compassionate team at The Atrium. In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with all our pupils, alongside an experienced and supportive group of Senior Teachers and Behaviour Mentors. Together, we make a meaningful difference every day.
What We Do
The Atrium is an SEMH Enhanced Provision. We work with parents and carers, mainstream schools and outside agencies to build a team of support around our pupils. Together we work towards pupils' reintegration back into a fulltime, mainstream setting or SEMH specialist school. We adopt a therapeutic approach to supporting pupils and our practice is informed by the latest trauma informed research.
The Atrium is a SEMH Enhanced Provision committed to transforming the lives of young people. We collaborate with parents, carers, mainstream schools, and external agencies to create a robust network of support around our pupils. Our shared goal is to guide their reintegration into full-time mainstream education or an SEMH specialist school. With a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach, we base our practice on cutting-edge research, prioritizing the well-being and growth of each child.
About the Role

Planning engaging activities in partnership with colleagues.
Providing one-on-one academic support tailored to individual needs.
Leading small group sessions to foster learning and development.
Working alongside specialist teachers to develop and implement impactful strategies.
Supporting learning through playful and therapeutic activities.

HEARTS is a small innovative Academy Trust of six primary schools and an alternative provision for pupils with SEMH challenges. All provisions are based in the south of Essex.
