Are you an Engineer looking for a change? We're looking for you!

In 2017 Harlow College invested £11 million in our 'Harlow Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Centre' (HAMEC) from which we now deliver training to our students. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented member of staff to join our growing Engineering team at Harlow College. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education.

This is a great first step into education from industry and the large focus will be on looking after apprentices during their time with the college and liaising with their employers. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will play a key role in assessing apprentice learners, co-ordinating with engineering companies and ensuring apprentices gain key industry skills.

We would love to meet with you if you have;

  • Previously worked as a qualified Engineer
  • Experience of Engineering industry
  • Enthusiasm to pass on your skills and knowledge to the future generation
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced everchanging environment
  • Have excellent communication skills, have a flexible and positive approach

You do not need a teaching qualification to work in Further Education, just a passion to educate tomorrow's workforce. We will support the successful applicant to gain their teaching qualification whilst they work at no cost!
