CATERING MANAGER
Pay Range: Local Government Scale 7
Actual Salary from: £28,659 - £31,655 (Points 19-24)
Start Date: ASAP
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Paxman Academy for a Catering Manager to join our Catering Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced Catering Manager to join and lead our established team and manage the efficient service of our Catering operation.
- This post is 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days and 3 weeks during school closure period).

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a range of creative food concepts for the menu and service. To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of practical cooking in a large-scale environment.
This role is hands-on and the emphasis will be on producing an imaginative food offer that compliments the schools' healthy schools objectives.
We're looking for you if you have:
- Candidates must be motivated and have a passion for quality, coupled with the highest standards in food production, presentation and service.
- You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of catering legislation, have budget management experience, and good IT skills.
- You must have supervisory experience and be able to demonstrate good leadership and motivational skills.
- Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer care are essential, as is the ability to work and lead as part of a team.

Paxman Academy opened in September 2019 and admitted 180 Year 7 students in the first year.
