Positive attendance is the key to education and future life chances, when children are in school they are learning. This is not only important for later life but also has a positive impact on their mental health.
As attendance officer, you would play a vital role in promoting and maintaining excellent attendance, working with students, parents, and school staff to address attendance issues and improve school attendance rates. This will require you to work closely with the Deputy Headteacher in order to ensure that our attendance remains a key focus of all staff and is the best it can possibly be.
We are looking for someone who understands attendance issues in schools at the moment. Someone who is driven by success and is able to have consistent results in improving attendance. An understanding of data is helpful so as to work with the Deputy Head in targeted strategies. It is important that you are able to work with parents and conduct meetings in a professional, firm and fair way.
