We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Sports Coach to join our happy and successful school.
As a school we like to listen to the views of our pupils and they are very eager to take part in competitive sports against other schools. Could you be the coach that helps them achieve their sporting dreams? We have a very strong staff team, wonderful children and families, and offer excellent opportunities for development.
Your main duties will be to deliver quality sport and physical activities to all pupils from Reception to Year 6, both in school curriculum time and also through delivery of a range of extra-curricular activities at lunch times and after school. Your working pattern will therefore reflect this timetable.
Candidates will:
· Be able to plan a range of innovative and engaging coaching sessions and programmes in a variety of sports
· Develop and inspire young people to live active and healthy lifestyles
· Produce accurate assessments and reports on pupils' progress
· Have knowledge of the school PE National Curriculum
· Have knowledge of health and safety requirements for conducting PE lessons
· Have GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
37 hours per week
Term Time plus five non-pupil days.
In line with recommended practice in the statutory guidance "Keeping Children Safe in Education", the school will conduct searches for information onshortlisted candidateswhich is publicly available on-line. The purpose is limited:
· to identify issues which call into question the applicant's suitability to work with children.
· to verify employment history.
