SIGMA CENTRAL

BUSSINESS SUPPORT ASSISTANT (ADMISSIONS)

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 4

Actual Salary from: £11,812 - £12,010 (Points 7-8)

Part time: 20 hours per week, 41 weeks a year, term time plus INSET days and 2 weeks over the year, one week to be worked during the summer break.

The hours during the week to be spread over 4 or 5 days.

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to process and ensure that they are the first point of contact for parents/carers (external clients) and schools for advice and administration on all primary in-year admissions processes.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • To effectively administer a caseload of Primary in-year admission applications, within the statutory timeframes, following the legislation in the School Admissions Code and Trust Admissions Policies.
  • To provide excellent customer service by being the key and informed point of contact for parents, schools and colleagues in dealing efficiently with queries, requests and providing up to date advice in relation to all in-year admission processes.
  • To work effectively and professionally with external stakeholders, i.e., the Local Authority and other schools in determining the details of applications.
  • To prepare weekly, a summary of current and pending applications for the Director responsible for admissions, for discussion.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Confidence with Microsoft Office Systems and/or Google
  • Level 4 / GCSE in English or equivalent
  • Successful development and monitoring of administrative procedures and processes
  • Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written communication, grammar and spelling
