TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN (Hard Materials)
25 hours per week - 42.6 weeks (term time + annual leave)
Monday to Friday 09:00 to 14:00
£13,046 per annum (£12.25 per hour)
We are looking to appoint a Design and Technology Technician to provide technical support to the Design and Technology Faculty. Previous experience of working in a school technology environment would be advantageous but this role would suit someone with an interest in Design and Technology or practical skills such as woodworking or metalwork.
The successful candidate will have:
- Successful experience working within a similar specialist environment
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in the specialist area (s)
- First Aid Certificate
- Ability to use clear language to communicate information and the ability to listen effectively
- Ability to establish rapport and to maintain respectful and trusting relationships
- Excellent organisational skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to plan and manage own time effectively
- A good understanding of Health and Safety, safeguarding and child protection
- A commitment to equality and diversity and inclusion
