Primary Teacher Apprenticeship [Salaried/No tuition Fees]
The Gateway Learning Community is seeking to recruit passionate individuals who want to complete a 4 yearTeacher Degree Apprenticeship programme as a route into primary teaching, in partnership with Brighton University.This programme allows you to earn a salary [unqualified teacher salary: £23,152] while gaining hands-on experience in a school, completing your bachelor's degree, and achieving Qualified Teacher Status [QTS].
This course is open to a diverse range of applicants, including those already working in schools who wish to advance their careers, school leavers, and individuals looking to change careers.
You will be employed by the Gateway Learning Community and receive a salary as you develop your skills and confidence [conditions apply]. From day one, you will be immersed in the classroom environment, working alongside expert colleagues and becoming an integral part of the school team. Throughout the course you will have 60% (three days a week) on-the-job training and 40% (equivalent to two days) off-the-job time with the majority of sessions delivered online to best fit around your schedule.
Interviews
Candidates will interview at one of the primary schools in the Gateway Learning Community.In addition, interviews for this programmewill beonline at Brighton University. Applicants invited to interview will be able to choose a date and which option suits them best.
Entry Requirements:
A-levels:CCC,
BTEC:MMM,
International Baccalaureate:26 points with three subjects at Higher level,
Access to HE Diploma:pass with 60 credits overall. At least 45 credits at level 3, with 24 credits at distinction and the rest at merit,
T-level:Merit in the Education and Early Years or the Education and Childcare T-level. Other T-level subjects are not accepted.
Plus:GCSE (minimum grade C or grade 4) At least English language, mathematics and a science.If you do not have the required GCSEs, find out whichequivalent qualifications we accept instead.
If you do not meet these entry requirements, the university operates a flexible and contextual admissions policy. This allows for the assessment of applications to determine whether prior knowledge and experience can be recognised. This would mean that if we thought someone was fantastic but they perhaps only had two A levels or less but we knew they had potential, we could look favourably at this and acknowledge prior experience of working in schools.
