You will be working one-to-one, between the hours of 9am-3pm. Hours to be determinded dependent on your availability. Working in a community space or in a student's home around the Burnham-on-Crouch area. You will have the opportunity to develop an excellent rapport with your students. We are seeking excellent, qualified and well-organised HLTA's who are able to communicate an enthusiasm for learning and foster a strong family partnership. Applicants should have credibility with colleagues, students and families and a proven track record of working with vulnerable students.

We support children and young people from across Essex by delivering high quality lessons within our outreach provision. As part of our dedicated and supportive team, you will demonstrate a calm and consistent approach working with children with elevated Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You will have a flexible and creative attitude as well as an approachable and resilient manner. You will be keen to join in with activities with the students outside of their directed lessons.

  • Is able to demonstrate outstanding teaching skills with experience in teaching KS3/4
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills

  • Is experienced in Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) or has knowledge of TPP
  • Has SEN experience or SEMH experience.
  • Holds a driving licence and has access to a vehicle

Hatfield Wick Education is an Accredited Alternative Education Provider for Essex that delivers education and therapeutic services for children and young people who cannot access learning in a mainstream setting.

We are commissioned by the Local Authority, schools, and families to provide educational and therapeutic support to children and young people with a diverse range of special educational needs, including:

• Anxiety / ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) • Asperger's • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) • ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) • Sensory Processing Disorder (auditory, visual, sensory, memory) • Attachment Disorder (including those associated with adoption & fostering) • Separation Anxiety Disorder

Our overarching goal is to identify challenges, remove obstacles and build strategies to help children and young people reach, maintain, and exceed their personal goals and boost their confidence and self-esteem. By doing this, they can return to mainstream education and continue to thrive.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
