Are you an Engineer? We're looking for you!
In 2017 Harlow College invested £11 million in our 'Harlow Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Centre' (HAMEC) from which we now deliver training to our students.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Engineering member of staff to join our growing Engineering team at Harlow College. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, your role will focus on the assessing of Engineering apprentices and include thepreparation, planning, co-ordination of teaching and assessing to learners following machining and/or maintenance pathways.
We are looking for engineers that:
· Demonstrate a background in a manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
· Communicate effectively with employers, students and colleagues
· Preferably hold a TAQA qualification
You must have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Engineering. However, you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.
The successful candidate can expect the College to fund any training required for the role, investment in their professional development, opportunities to further their career as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
