Job Description:
Senior leader at Castledon School
Part-time, fixed term position, starting January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
An enthusiastic and highly professional individual, with strong administrative and leadership skills and with experience of special educational needs, is sought to join our dynamic senior leadership team.
Our staff are committed and inspirational, transforming the futures of pupils with a wide range of complex needs, these include autism and communication difficulties.
Experience in working in admissions or tribunals is essential.
An ability to lead staff in monitoring provision and engaging wider professionals. The preferred candidate must have experience of line management of staff, knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, be personable and able to build relationships with the Local Authority SEND Operations team (ensuring adequate funding/banding is allocated to learners joining Castledon), parents and wider team of professionals at Castledon School. The role will also support the wider senior leadership team with monitoring the quality of EHCP's and promoting transferable skills for learners through positive family engagement. An ability to support with tribunal preparation and possible representation is a must.
