Heathlands Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is an extremely caring, outward-looking and highly inclusive primary school in the heart of the large village of West Bergholt, located on the northern outskirts of the City of Colchester.

The Governors are looking for a dynamic leader who will be able to drive our school from Good to Outstanding.

You will have:

  • Proven leadership experience and evidence of strategic understanding
  • Effective management experience, with the ability to empower and develop a team of dedicated staff and make best use of school funds
  • A passion for delivering a rich and diverse curriculum through high quality teaching for the benefit of all children so they can reach their full potential
  • The ability to develop and nurture trusting and robust relationships with our children, staff, governors, families, and wider school partners
