Lawford Mead Primary & Nursery School is seeking to recruit an experienced and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will cover teacher absence and release time in KS1 - Y1/2 when needed, as well as supporting pupils' learning. This HLTA will team lead the lower school Learning Support Assistants (performance management training provided).
Scale 6 point 13 - 17
Salary £28,163 - £30,060 (actual salary £20,392 - £21,766)
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm term time only plus inset days. 31 hours 15 minutes per week.
We are looking for a colleague with:
• a passion for supporting children's social and emotional wellbeing as well as learning
• experience as a learning support assistant/teaching assistant within Key Stage1 (Y1/2)
• experience covering classes
• secure subject knowledge in English and maths
• the ability to work effectively in a team and inspire others
