We are looking to recruit a kitchen assistant to cover maternity leave, to work in this school for children with sever and profound learning difficulties.
Applicants should ideally have some experience in a related field and an understanding of students with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
You should also have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team, and have a willingness to learn and gain new skills.
Key Duties include:
- provide assistance with the preparation, cooking and service of meals for students
- cleaning duties within the kitchen as required
- ability to follow sound health and hygiene practices

The role is Monday to Friday and term time plus non-upil days, 11am to 2pm each day.
The Actual gross annual salary is from £7,902.40 (less than 5 years service) to £8,141.26 (more than 5 years service).
Information about the School
Shorefields School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 154 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton-on-Sea close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula
