Learning Support and Midday Assistant

Start date: September 2024

LSA 17.5 hrs 43.5 weeks a year scale3 point 5 FTE £23,500 pay award pending = £9,273.05 per annum paid pro rata

MDA 5 hrs 43.5 weeks a year Scale 2 point 3 FTE £22,737 pay award pending = £2,563.42 per annum paid pro rata

Hours: 17.5 hours LSA (8:30 - 12), 5 hours MDA per week - (12-1) School Term Time only.

Contract: Permanent contract.

Location: East Hanningfield, Chelmsford, Essex

East Hanningfield C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a patient, caring part-time KS2 LSA and MDA to join our small thriving primary school.

The role involves supporting a class of children some of whom may have additional needs in school. The applicant appointed to this role will either have a proven track record of successfully working with children in schools or will be keen to learn on the job about this role. They will have high expectations and show they can enable individuals to achieve their potential and make good progress.


The ideal candidate will:
● Have experience of working with pupils in schools or be keen to learn on the job.
● Be a creative, enthusiastic and energetic practitioner and a real team player.

● Communicate with pupils, staff and parents effectively, both verbally and in a written form.
● Is someone who can use agreed teaching and learning strategies consistently, yet also respond to educational needs in the 'here and now' to enhance learning opportunities within a lesson.
