Job Description

Crays Hill Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA to join the team in November 2024.

The hours are 8:15am to 3:45pm (including a 30 minute lunch break) Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week during term time. (39 weeks per year including 5 inset days).

Salary: Scale 6 to Scale 7 (Range 13 - 24) depending on qualifications and experience. Actual Salary £22,351 to £24,706 per annum (April 2024 pay rise pending) includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods.

We are looking to appoint an experienced HLTA who can deliver lessons across the primary range (Reception to Year 6) to support PPA, cover when teachers are absent from school and release time for our teachers/leaders.

This role will also include:

· intervention work with individuals and small groups

· taking a lead on organising activities for breakfast and lunch time.

· delivering a daily RWInc lesson

We are looking for a person who:

· will have the drive to support the children across the school to be the very best that they can be whilst inspiring a love of learning.

· has a HLTA qualification (Applicants without the HLTA qualification, must be happy to complete this qualification alongside the role).

· demonstrates a 'can do' attitude.

· is able to provide and deliver learning activities to whole classes in Early Years, KS1 and KS2

· has a proven track record of delivering high quality interventions

· is committed to raising standards and meeting the needs of individual and groups of children

· is a positive, enthusiastic and a real team player

· is self-motivated, resilient and able to work using their own initiative
