SEND LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (3 posts)

Hours: 22.5 per week (8.30am - 12.00 midday, then 12.00 midday to 1.00pm daily) term-time only. One post fixed-term to 31 August 2025, one fixed-term to 31 August 2027 and one fixed-term to 31 August 2028.

Scale 3, pro-rata salary range approx. £11,867 - £12,066 per annum (pay award pending)

Position to start as soon as possible or 5 November 2024.

SEND Learning Support Assistant required to provide general and specific support to children with special educational needs (working with small groups of children). The post is temporarily funded and will therefore cease when the children leave the School. In addition to your LSA role, you will undertake Midday Assistant duties each day from 12 midday to 1pm.

Working under guidance from, and liaison with, the SENDCO, SENDCO Assistant and Class Teacher, you will:

  • support the teacher in keeping the children focused and on task
  • use a multi-sensory approach to support the children with learning activities
  • contribute information about the children's progress
  • experience of working with autism/ADHD would be an advantage
