Fixed-term SEND LSA and MDA
Hours: 2 days per week (days to be mutually agreed) 8:30am -3:15pm (30 minute lunch break)
Rate of Pay: Scale 2 point 3-4
Contract type: fixed term linked to a specific child
Closing date: Monday 6th January 2024 - midnight

Contract start date: As soon as possible
We are looking for a keen and competent SEND LSA and MDA. This position would suit someone with previous experience of working with children preferably, but not essentially, in a school or nursery setting and ideally with pupils with additional and/or complex needs. You must have good literacy and numeracy skills, a positive outlook and the ability to work flexibly.
In the SEND LSA role you will support children's learning under the direction of the class teacher. You will work predominantly 1:1 with a specific pupil but may also work with groups and individuals, lead small group interventions, assess children's progress and report to the class teacher. You will be expected to carry out intimate care and support medical needs, for which full training will be provided. You will work closely with a full-time medical carer for the child.
In the MDA role, you will work under the direction of the senior Midday Assistants. You will supervise children in the dining hall and on the playground, ensuring that children are safe and that behaviour policies are adhered to.
