We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated Catering Manager to run our busy school kitchen providing around 300 healthy, high quality and nutritious meals per day. You will have responsibility for menu planning, preparation of food, stock control, budget, ensuring health and safety compliance and will be working closely with a great team who have key roles within the kitchen and hall over the course of the lunchtime period.
25 hours per week - (negotiable over 4 or 5 days)
Term time only (38 weeks per year)
The successful applicant will be someone who is:
Experienced in the preparation, cooking and service of food
Enthusiastic, hardworking and dependable
Able to work well as part of a team
Is flexible, adaptable and can show initiative where appropriate
Qualified to Level 2 Food Safety as a minimum (Level 3 is desirable)
An excellent communicator and has good interpersonal and organisational skills
Patient with a sense of humour being essential

Based in Great Dunmow, Essex, Dunmow St Mary's Primary School is a 2FE Foundation primary school with extensive grounds, including our own woodland area and outdoor classroom. As a Church of England voluntary controlled school we have a strong commitment to Christian principles and values that recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual.
