An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at our friendly and popular school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Deputy Site Manager to start 1st July 2025. You will need to be friendly, approachable and able to use own initiative to provide support in the security, daily running, appearance and maintenance of the school building and grounds.
The role is for 25 hours a week, all year round. This will be a split shift to incorporate the opening of the school in the morning and the locking each evening. We appreciate flexibility so we are open to preferred times in conjunction with the Site Manager.
Salary scale 4, point 7, FTE £25,584. Actual annual salary including fringe £17,763.
In this role the successful applicant will be:
- responsible for opening (from 6.30am) and locking (5.30pm) of the school building and grounds Monday - Friday term time. Occasional alternative hours are required with notice given. (e.g. Summer fayre).
- all areas of facilities management, including keeping the school presentable, maintenance and repairs, cleaning, porterage, stock, waste, health and safety checks and tests. Support provided by outsourced companies and professionals where necessary.
- Deputising for the Site Manager when absent.
As such you will need to:
- work closely with Site Manager
- be friendly, positive and flexible
- have strong transferable skills and/or experience
- have good oral and written communication skills
- be organised and efficient, working to deadlines
- able to be proactive and use own initiative
- be physically able for manual tasks
- have enthusiasm for working in a school environment

HUTTON ALL SAINTS’ C. of E. PRIMARY SCHOOL
Hutton All Saints’ is a Church of England Primary School serving the Parish of Hutton and surrounding district. It was originally founded in 1840 on a site in Hutton Village. The school transferred in the 1950’s to a new building on its present site.
It has strong links with St. Peter’s and All Saints’ churches and through them to their local community. The school governors, staff, children and the church take this link very seriously and are proud of their joint contribution to local education.
In 2011 the school became an Academy.
