We are looking for a positive, flexible, compassionate professional to join our friendly team at this Independent Special Needs school for 13 pupils aged 6-17 years, which opened in September 2019.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Manager who wishes to work in a friendly, professional environment. You will be organising, planning, and running the Business alongside the Head Teacher (who is the Proprietor and Director), training and guiding the office administrator, and working towards the most efficient and profitable business solutions. You will also manage the Office, making sure all operations run smoothly and are complying with data protection legislation.
The successful applicant will need to have substantial, recent (preferably school-based) business management experience, including (but not limited to) line management, budget management, strategic planning, book-keeping (preferably Quick-books or similar), invoicing, managing contracts, reviewing policies and legislation, and assisting the Head with HR.
Owing to the rural location of the business and the occasional need to tend to business activities outside the school, ownership and use of a car full time, as well as a full driving license, is essential.
Candidates are welcome to visit the school prior to making their application. Please contact the School Business Manager to arrange this businessmanager@clarity.essex.sch.uk.
Please note, we will shortlist and interview as soon as applications are received, rather than waiting for the closing date; therefore, please do get your application in as soon as possible!
The school is committed to safeguarding its pupils and as such, a DBS check and online checks, such as social media checks, will be conducted, and references sought prior to appointment.
