About the role:
We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education) to join our Senior Leadership Team, led by our new Headteacher who joined the school in the Summer Term 2024. You will be committed to providing all students with the best possible life chances they can have. The successful candidate will have at least three years senior leader experience and the expectation is that our improvement journey will be accelerated further under the new postholder.
This position will provide the successful candidate with a fantastic platform for Headship.
The Senior Leadership Team consists of two Deputy Headteachers, four Assistant Headteachers.
You will be responsible for the Quality of Education across Years 7-13 and will live and breathe 'Enjoy, Enrich, Achieve, Aspire'. This includes:
· Ensuring that all priorities in the School Improvement Plan, relating to the Quality of Education are met.
· Leading a team of Heads of Faculty.
· Ensuring that each Faculty has detailed curriculum maps which set out what should be learnt by the end of each stage, how this will be embedded into long term memory and how new knowledge, skills and understanding will be assessed.
· Ensuring that the curriculum maps mentioned above are followed consistently by all staff.
· The options processes in Year 9 and Year 11.
· Line managing Assistant Headteachers as appropriate.
· Organising an ongoing programme of quality assurance.
