About the role
This is afixed-term apprenticeship, typically lasting 18-24 months, but it may be shorter or longer depending on your skills and experience and the pace you complete the programme.
You'll be part of a friendly team of five, led by an experienced team leader, providing IT support acrossClacton Coastal Academy, Tendring Technology College, and Hamford Primary Academy.
Your role will include diagnosing and resolving issues with Windows, Apple, and Chrome devices, supporting AV systems, software roll-outs, asset management, and maintaining strong customer service.
Working alongside third-party partners and your team, you'll learn how to solve problems and deliver IT support that makes a difference to the people who rely on it.
What we're looking for
- GCSE Maths and English (A-C or 4-9) or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards Functional Skills.
- Enthusiasm for IT and awillingness to learn and grow.
- Experience working as part of a team (e.g., in a sporting, educational, work, or social setting).
Eligibility Criteria
- You must have resided in the UK or EEA for at least 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
- Applicants must not have already completed a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship.

Information about the School
Tendring Technology College (TTC) serves a wide catchment area in the Tendring District that is a mix of rural and coastal environment with easy access to the vibrant town of Colchester with London Liverpool Street a straightforward train journey. TTC is unique in that it is a split site College with approximately 1900 students. The Thorpe campus is dedicated to our Key Stage 3 students and nearly 5 miles away is the Frinton campus for our Key Stage 4 and 5 students. For staff and students alike the split site at TTC offers the breadth of opportunity and experience of a large school, with the intimacy and care of a small school.
