An opportunity has arisen for an organised, efficient and flexible person to join our team.

This position plays a key role within the life of the school, coordinating the admissions processes and acting as central point of contact for all matters involving the Governing Body.

This is a term time only post working part time, with some flexibility to work remotely.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Key Information for candidates regarding terms and conditions:

  • Hours per week: 31 hours per week
  • Working weeks per year: Term time plus 5 days to be worked during relevant school holidays
  • Start date: 1st September 2024 (with opportunity to work handover days prior to this for preparations)
  • Location: The core hours of the post are 9.30 - 14.30 based in the school, with flexibility to work the remaining hours remotely. As per the job description there will be some out of hours work expected with the role, for which time in lieu will be given.
  • Pay: The post is paid on Essex Schools' Local Government Pay Scale 8, point 25 (within range 25-28). The full time equivalent pay for this scale and point is £33,945 gross per annum. The actual salary for this part time post is £25,091.27 gross per annum. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years' service. Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.
  • Holiday entitlement: The successful candidate will work during each week of term time including non-pupil days. Holiday will be deemed to be taken during school closure periods. There is no entitlement to take holiday during term time.
  • Probation: All individuals new to employment within the Academy will be required to satisfactorily complete a six month probationary period.
