Churchgate Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is an extremely caring, outward-looking and inclusive primary school in the heart of the beautiful village of Old Harlow, located on the eastern outskirts of Harlow - easily accessible via the new 7A junction on the M11. Churchgate is a single form entry school, and we currently have 197 children on role.

The Governors are looking for a dynamic Head Teacher to start in January 2025 who will be able to drive our school from Good to Outstanding.

You will have:

  • Proven effective leadership and evidence of strategic understanding
  • Effective management experience, with the ability to empower and develop a team of dedicated staff and make best use of school funds

  • The ability to develop and nurture trusting and robust relationships with our children, staff, governors, families, and wider school partners
