Job Description

Alresford Primary is a one form, friendly village school, with supportive and driven staff. Our children are inquisitive, polite and eager to learn.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Year 6 learning support assistant to join our UKS2 team. The position is part-time Monday - Friday 8:30am 12:15pm, with 2 days 1:15 - 3:15 (days are flexible), there may be the option to add lunch cover for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will have:

.Experience of the KS2 curriculum (ideally Year 6)

·Experience or interest in supporting pupils with a range of needs e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties.

·Flexible and adaptable with timetabling and the daily routines

·Excellent communication skills

·TPP behaviour management skills

.Have a calm, nuturing approach, but with clear expectations and boundaires

.Work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher andDeputy Head/SENCO

.Adapt questioning and instructions to the needs of individual children

.Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy
