We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Manager to lead our small team of practitioners in our Little Pals Pre School. You will work closely with the management team to deliver high quality provision to the children and families within the local area. The job role will include being in ratio for the majority of the working day.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about childcare, possess strong leadership skills, and have experience in managing a nursery environment. As a Nursery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of children under your care.

Duties:


- Manage all aspects of the nursery, including staffing, curriculum development, and safety protocols

- Provide leadership and guidance to nursery staff to create a nurturing and stimulating environment


- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders


- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services

- Oversee the implementation of early childhood education programs

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and licensing requirements

Essential Criteria

A relevant professional qualification, at least a Level 3, but willing to work towards a Level 6 qualification.
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within an Early Years setting.
Friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and relevant legislation.
Strong knowledge of Early Years child development.
Excellent organisational, communication - written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
Ability to negotiate and consult at all levels.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Strong knowledge of child protection procedures.
